Dr. Eldar Sheykh-Zade brings to ESC more than 20 years of experience leading software development projects.

Dr. Sheykh-Zade is responsible for the smartGATE software and hardware suite, which provides improved productivity and terminal security through centralized, remote, automated processing of gate transactions. In addition, he is responsible for VinTelligent, a web-based Terminal Operating System that optimizes automobile handling along the supply chain from manufacturer to dealer.

Products created under Dr. Sheykh-Zade's leadership are installed at more than 50 Ports America and commercial customer terminals. Since he began managing the smartGATE team in 2004, smartGATE has become the most successful commercial ESC product, deployed at seventeen terminals worldwide.

Dr. Sheykh-Zade joined ESC in 2001 as Principal Software Architect. In that role, he was instrumental in the creation of VinTelligent - ESC's first commercial product.

Before joining ESC, Dr. Sheykh-Zade worked as a Development Manager and Architect for mortgage and pharmaceutical companies. Ten years of his career were dedicated to calculating and developing computerized models of the earth's crust and upper mantle used by geophysicists to predict earthquakes and discover oil and gas deposits.

Dr. Sheykh-Zade holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Technical Science.
