New President at Embarcadero Systems Corp.

ALAMEDA, CA - August 8, 2006 - Embarcadero Systems Corp. (ESC), a division of MTC Holdings and global provider of innovative transportation technology solutions, has announced the appointment of Richard Beedenbender as its new president, replacing Scott Skillman who left to pursue other opportunities.

In making the announcement, MTC Holdings President Douglas Tilden emphasized Beedenbender’s industry knowledge, which includes a background in both shipping operations and technology.

Beedenbender joined ESC following four years at Descartes/NeoModal, a global provider of logistics and supply chain management solutions. Beedenbender co-founded NeoModal, leading the development and implementation of innovative transportation and logistics services. As senior vice president of Descartes Ocean, he was responsible for integrating two acquired subsidiaries (including NeoModal), developing a comprehensive product line, and establishing branding and market awareness.

Prior to Descartes/NeoModal, Beedenbender worked for 25 years at Sea-Land Service, holding a variety of senior management positions: director of business planning and development, vice president Information Systems, vice president Atlantic Division, vice president Americas Division, and finally vice president Network Management.

Beedenbender holds a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Rutgers University and an MBA in management science from Pennsylvania State University.

As president of ESC, Beedenbender is responsible for ESC global operations.

ESC also provides systems and solutions for significant breakbulk operations in the Pacific Northwest. 

Europe Offices and Projects:
ESC has four offices in Europe: Rotterdam (ESC European headquarters), Marseille, Munich, and London. In the past year, ESC was awarded the role of prime contractor for a consortium to provide the Terminal Operating System (TOS), CATOS, and Equipment Control System (ECS) for Euromax Terminal NV in Rotterdam, a joint venture between Europe Container Terminals (ECT) and APMT(formerly P&O Nedlloyd).  ESC was also contracted to deliver an automated gate system for APMT’s Zeebrugge facility in Belgium.
